RIce-Net was developed by the iSMART Lab at Stevens Institute of Technology in collaboration with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) to support river ice detection using ground-based imagery. While it aligns with USGS protocols, outputs may be affected by environmental variability and should be considered provisional. The USGS assumes no liability for external use beyond research and internal evaluation.
